Buying a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is a significant investment, but Texans have access to several programs that can reduce or cover the cost:
Veterans with service-connected disabilities that affect their ability to drive or enter a vehicle may qualify for a one-time payment of up to $23,401 (2024 rate) toward the purchase of an adapted vehicle, plus up to $5,765 for adaptive equipment. Access 2 Mobility is a VA-approved vendor.
We partner with Eastman Credit Union to offer low-rate financing specifically designed for accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment. Available to Texas residents.
Organizations such as the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA), Challenged Athletes Foundation, and local foundations periodically offer grants.
