Description
The Ultra X Gen 3 is the simpler of Pride’s two new Go-Go scooters. It gets the same redesigned deck, the same wraparound tiller and the same five-piece breakdown as the Elite Traveller Gen 3, without the tight-turning EZ Turn setup.
Common questions
Ultra X Gen 3 or Elite Traveller Gen 3? Turning, mostly. The Ultra X needs 48.75″ to come around; the Elite Traveller Gen 3 needs 39.2″. In a store aisle or a narrow hallway that gap shows. On a sidewalk or at the fairgrounds it does not.
Will it fit in my trunk? Five pieces, and the heaviest is 36.2 lbs. Lift that piece yourself in Tyler before you decide. If it is more than you want to handle, a micro scooter lift loads it for you, and we install those here.
A deck with room for your feet.
The Gen 3 deck is wider through the middle and slopes toward the front wheels, so there is more room to put your feet and more space to swing them through when you get on and off.
The surface is textured for grip and wipes clean.
Steer with thumbs, fingers, or both.
The wraparound delta tiller gives you several places to put your hands. You work the wigwag levers with your thumbs, your forefingers, or a mix of the two.
That means you can change grip partway through a long ride instead of holding one position.
Five pieces, no tools.
Feather-touch disassembly splits the scooter into five pieces. The front section is the heaviest at 36.2 lbs., the seat is 23 lbs., and each battery pack is 20 lbs.
Charging ports sit on both the tiller and the battery box, so you can charge it assembled or with the pack out.
Range and capacity.
It carries up to 300 lbs. and runs up to 4.3 mph. On a full charge you get up to 8.9 miles at 220 lbs., or 7.1 miles at the full 300.
