    Strongback Comfort Wheelchair

    Strongback Comfort Wheelchair

    SKU: 1007+AB-2025 Category:

    Description

The Strongback Comfort is a manual wheelchair with a spine — literally its selling point. The frame builds in lumbar support that standard sling-back chairs cannot offer, addressing the slumped posture that makes long sitting in ordinary wheelchairs so wearing.

    Common questions

Does built-in posture support really matter? Sit in a standard folding chair for two hours and your lower back will answer. For riders spending real time in the chair, ergonomics are not a luxury.

Is it still portable? Yes — it folds and travels like the category demands; the posture engineering is the difference, not the format. Come feel it at the Tyler store.

The Strongback Comfort Wheelchair and Transport Chair Range

Any wheelchair for sale today should be practical. It should also support an upright spine. Looking for a wheelchair for yourself or a family member? Strongback Mobility’s range delivers, because it pairs very light materials with a patented posture support system built into the frame.

Simply put, we make the best off-the-shelf wheelchairs on the market today. The range covers a wide mix of mobility needs. Read on to find out more.

What Makes a Strongback Mobility Wheelchair So Distinctive?

You may be a veteran who now uses a wheelchair. Or you may be buying one for someone you know. Either way, Strongback Mobility offers clear advantages. Firstly, excellent lumbar support is built into the frame of each chair.

This means far less back strain over a long day. You can stay in our chairs longer, and use them in far more everyday situations than regular wheelchairs allow.

Unlike some of the competitor solutions around, this is not an additional wheelchair feature or a modification of the backrest. What every Strongback Mobility wheelchair provides is a complete system that comprises both the frame and the integrated system. This means the support sits in the right place whenever the chair is in use. It never gets in the way of folding.

Our folding design loads easily into a car trunk. Then, when you unfold it, the full lumbar support is right there again.

Thanks to the frame design and high-end materials, a STRONGBACK chair can weigh as little as 15-20 lbs. Even so, it stays strong and stylish for users up to 300 lbs. This means our range often appeals to heavier users than inferior products.

STRONGBACK wheelchairs also break away from the classic wheelchair look. Instead, they use modern, light, rounded lines. This makes all of our wheelchairs look less like a medical aid and more like a bicycle.

Which Wheelchair for Sale is Right for Your Needs?

Every wheelchair for sale from Strongback Mobility has the aforementioned features. That said, our products are far from being all the same. You can buy wheelchair designs within the range that are suited to different mobility needs. Let’s examine the range a little more closely.

    Strongback Comfort Wheelchair Transport Chairs

Designed as a transport chair, the STRONGBACK8 has the lowest wheelchair price in the range. It has 8-inch rear wheels making it ideal for indoor use. This folding wheelchair also takes up minimal room, so it is great for stowing away neatly. The slightly larger STRONGBACK12 has larger wheels and is suited to both indoor and outdoor use.

The STRONGBACK12 also comes in a small model. It has attendant brakes, a 16″ seat, and a lower frame for smaller people.

    The Strongback22

The STRONGBACK22 pairs a 16-inch seat with 22-inch wheels. Its frame is smaller and lower than the STRONGBACK24, so it suits smaller people. Ultra-lightweight, this product has a total weight of just 27 lbs and has a compact, extremely practical design.

    The Strongback Comfort Wheelchair

The 18-inch seat width version of the STRONGBACK24 has the same wheelchair price as the STRONGBACK22. The main difference is that, along with a larger seat, you get 24-inch rear wheels.

There’s a three-position rear axle setting, too, making this wheelchair ideal for beginners as well as intermediate and expert users. This version also comes with a 20-inch seat if you prefer a little more space.

    The STRONGBACK Flip

The STRONGBACK Flip is the chair to buy if you want flip-back armrests. Transfers are easy and the fit is flexible. This wheelchair has a total weight of just 25.8 lbs and comes with 24-inch rear wheels.

When folded, the STRONGBACK Flip measures only 29 by 14 by 29.5 inches. So it stores almost anywhere, including most car trunks. Like the STRONGBACK22 and 24 models, this wheelchair also has quick-release wheels for even greater convenience.

Buy Wheelchair Accessories that Suit Our Lightweight Wheelchair Designs

Some Strongback Mobility accessories come standard, such as our dismounting wheels and attachments. The same is true of our flip-back footrests. They fold down on their own when you press against them, which makes the chair far easier to move. Optional extras worth considering include our travel bags, our leg assembly retaining clips, and the comfortable, 2-inch wide STRONGBACK seatbelt.

I enjoyed working with Noah. This was my first visit with a sales person and I was trying to determine between powered and standard wheelchair. Noah helped by answering all my questions and easing my fear of a power chair.

I brought in an old knee scooter I bought off of FB Marketplace and they went above and beyond to fix the issue and make sure it was safe for my grandson to use. Best bunch of people I have ever met.

I called access to mobility to repair an electric scooter. It was not one that they had built, but they were very willing to come out and look at it. The price was very fair. They also aired up the tires and replaced the brake fluid. They took it back to the shop to work on it for about an hour and brought it back. Excellent customer service and very friendly people to work with. Would highly recommend!
