Description
The Mackworth CP440P is a ceiling lift you can move. It hangs from a ceiling track or a freestanding gantry, and when you need it in another room, it goes with you. So with a track in each room, one lift can cover the bedroom tonight and the living room tomorrow.
Common questions
Portable or fixed ceiling lift? A fixed lift stays in one room and charges in its track. The CP440P moves between tracks and gantries, which suits travel, rentals, and homes where needs keep changing.
If one room is all you need, the Mackworth TX600 is the fixed option, and it lifts up to 600 lbs.
What does it hang from? It needs a track. That can be a fixed ceiling track or a freestanding gantry such as the Mackworth FSG440 or Easy Fit. To move the lift between tracks, you also need a Transpoint trolley set, which Mackworth includes only when you order it with the lift.
Can it go in the bathroom? No. Mackworth rates the CP440P for dry indoor rooms only (IP20). For a wet room or bathroom, look at the TX600. Call us and describe your rooms, and we will tell you what is possible.
One lift, more than one room
Mackworth built the CP440P so caregivers can move a person with little strain while the person in the sling stays safe and comfortable.
Unlike a fixed lift, it moves where you need it. It works on fixed ceiling tracks in different rooms and on Mackworth’s freestanding gantries, which set up and come down easily. That helps when you travel, when a fixed track will not fit, or when needs change often. A reacher pole comes with the lift for moving it from one track to the next.
Controls in two places
You can raise, lower, and start emergency lowering from the wired handset or from the buttons on the lift itself. Grey raises and green lowers, matching the arrows on the lift tape, and red starts emergency lowering.
In an emergency, a red pull cord cuts all power at once. After about two minutes without use, the lift switches itself off to save the battery.
