- Who qualifies: a service-connected disability that includes loss or permanent loss of use of one or both hands or feet, permanent decreased vision in both eyes, a severe burn injury, or ALS.
- Apply before you buy. File VA Form 21-4502 for the allowance, and take VA Form 10-1394 to your VA medical center’s prosthetics representative for adaptive equipment. The VA usually won’t pay for a van bought before approval.
- No waiting on a reimbursement. Bring the approved form to us and the VA pays Access 2 Mobility directly. We handle the dealer paperwork.
- The VA sets a new allowance rate every October 1, so call us for the current figure. Tax, title and license are not included.
