The maximum load rating decal is on the lift base assembly, and that 350 lb rating applies to lifts installed according to Bruno’s instructions. If your decal reads something different, go by the decal on your unit.

The three faults the manual troubleshoots
Most calls we get about an ASL-250 are one of these three, and all three are in the manual on page 17.

| Cannot raise the lift control lever | Safety latch engaged by slight downward drift of the platform | Momentarily depress the UP switch, then raise the control lever |

| Lift operates slowly, lacks power or stalls | Weak vehicle battery | Have the battery charged, or run the engine at fast idle for several minutes before operating the lift |

Finding your serial and model number
Bruno asks for the serial and model number on any warranty claim, service request or parts order. The serial number is on labels affixed to the manual itself and on the unit. If the labels on your paperwork are long gone, the one on the lift is the one that counts — snap a photo of it before you call anyone, ours included.
Bruno recommends a yearly dealer service
Straight from page 16: Bruno recommends having a qualified Bruno dealer clean, inspect and perform any necessary repairs and adjustments at least every twelve months — and more often if the lift is used many times a day or in harsh conditions.
The ASL-250 is an older model. This manual was last revised in 2007. Bruno’s current exterior lift in our showroom is the ASL275 Out-Sider — a different model, not a newer name for the same one, so don’t use ASL275 parts or instructions on an ASL-250 without checking. Bring us the number off your decal and we’ll tell you which you have.
