Description
The Harmar AL6000 takes a different approach to inside lifting: a platform the scooter rides on, rather than a hoist it hangs from. For users who can drive their scooter but not wrestle it, platform loading is the smoothest path into a van.
Common questions
Platform or crane-style lift? Cranes suit occasional loading and preserve more cargo flexibility. Platforms shine for daily loading with minimal handling. Your routine picks the winner — describe an average week to us.
Which vans work? Interior dimensions decide; we verify against your vehicle before anything is bought or drilled.
The Harmar AL6000 and AL6000 HD carry your mobility device inside the vehicle. Therefore, it stays protected from the weather. This hybrid powerhouse features sliding aluminum rails for smooth performance and increased load capacity. And despite its compact stowed size, the lift travels a full 36″ from cargo area to ground. It runs by remote control.

In many cases, the AL6000 or AL6000HD can be installed on existing vehicle hardware (for the third-row seating).
The AL6000 series offers high capacity, smart installation, and flexible loading distances. In other words, it is the premier choice for vans and SUVs.
- Carries virtually all standard power chairs and scooters
- Allows continued use of second row seating. No drilling required in most vehicles
- Remote hand control
Hybrid lifts need little work to operate. However, a few steps must be completed so your mobility device is secured for travel.
- Walking from the front to the rear of the vehicle and back again
- Standing up to three minutes while the lift operates
- Steer or push the mobility device on/off the platform
- Fold down the seat back of the mobility device or scooter tiller until it is in its most compact position
More features
- Apply pressure to hold down a button on the handheld control while the lift operates
- Tie-Down Straps: Connect the hook to the mobility device. Then pull the strap end to add tension (self-retracting upgrades are available)
